The increasingly extensive and interactive development of the systems to be controlled demanded their representation with complex mathematical models. This made it possible to design control systems according to various types of motion and goals.
The control system can be designed on the basis of the model of the process (controlled system) in order to achieve the control objectives. Control processes (closed-loop control) are dealt with in a separate chapter, while open-loop control will be partly discussed in the chapter within artificial intelligence.
